Some people think that IIFYM, or flexible dieting, looks like this all of the time:

In actuality, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to eat this way and hit every macro. Where do you see the protein? And how could you eat this all day and stay until your calorie goal? It would be impossible.

Here is what my day looks like today. Keep in mind that my Macros are different than yours. I calculated my numbers using IIFYM.com's calculator. It's a good place to start, but after about 2 weeks, if you don't lose weight, you need to adjust the percentages (usually lowering the carbs by 10g and upping your protein.)

Here is my food diary:
WAIT?!?!
WHERE'S THE CANDY?!?!
THE SODA?!?!
THE JUNK?!?!
As you can see, the only arguably "unhealthy" item in my list is the Poptart I will have after my workout. If my day was full of Poptarts, you can see how different my plan would need to be ... and I still have some calories left!!! This is A LOT of food, but eating throughout the day keeps my insulin levels from crashing, which leads to binging and craving sweets. Flexible dieting gives me the ability to have a "treat" or 2 in my day and not end up feeling bad about it.
Throughout the course of my journey you will see how I am managing my Macros. Some days you may only see 2 or 3 meals that don't look anything like what you see above. No matter what I will stay within my Macros and I will not allow food to interfere with my goals.
